Several notorious fugitives arrive in town and go on a killing rampage.  The Mayor threatens to fire Sheriff MEGAN SANDS  if she doesn't stop the massacre before his next election. Sands discovers the murders are linked to a recently executed prison inmate,  a dog who shows up to the crime scenes and a five hundred year old story. Her crime investigations threaten local political bosses who stop at nothing to keep their secret. Unfortunately for them, retribution comes in a stranger secret.
